Clown Commute
Published January 18, 2007
It is nearly 8:30pm on a weekday night, and “Papelito” the clown is on his way home to his family via the LA metro’s “blue line.” He’s a tough “blue collar” clown who doesn’t stop working until he finishes his commute at 103rd street. After a long, hard day of clowning around for sugar-hyped kids at parties, Papelito still has enough energy for a big smile …even though his fellow passengers are less than vigorous at this late hour.
