Lake Hodges Bike/Pedestrian Bridge

I drive by this project every day on my way to work, and I must say it’s an odd looking setup, but as I read more about it, it is because this is a unique architecture known as a “stressed ribbon style bridge.”

This area around the lake Hodges is beautiful in the early mornings just before sunrise. Just a thousand feet from a buhzillion lanes of I15 traffic is this ethereal “fantasy” world where water takes the form of lake and mist swirling around ghostly white egrets perched on endless decaying branches.
