I must make a fatherly confession here and state for the record that I sat like a bump on a log and watched as my 3 yr old son discovered the joys of pressurized water from a hose. I did nothing to help him, or to direct him away from the danger, and instead ….checked to make sure my camera was powered on.

Happy 4th everyone - I am blogging tonight from the bathroom of my hotel room here in St George Utah, because my wife and 4 little ones are sleeping soundly right now (and we need to keep it that way).  My family and I are on the last legs of our 2008 family vacation through Utah and Idaho. 

This pic was taken at Snake River RV Park & Campground during the Idaho Falls fireworks show.  This spectacular show and the people in Idaho Falls reminded me that there are still some truly patriotic communities out there in America that really love to celebrate the freedom that was claimed by our congress back in 1776.

A special thanks to Joan at Snake River RV for such great hospitality and a fun stay for my family. 

I’ll be offline for a week+ doing a bit of travel and R&R with the family.  No updates for a while, but I hope to return with some new material from Utah and Idaho.  Cheers!
